Every bag of Rumble coffee is roasted to order at our Melbourne roastery and shipped fresh, so the coffee in your cup tastes the way we meant it to. Whether you drink espresso, filter or something in between, here’s what makes our coffee beans different and how to choose the right one.

Roasted to order in Melbourne

We roast and ship Monday to Friday, and most orders leave our roastery the next business day. That means you’re not buying beans that have sat on a supermarket shelf for months. Fresh coffee beans have more aroma, more sweetness and more of the flavour the farmer worked hard for. For the best results, enjoy your beans within four to six weeks of roasting, and store them in a cool, dry, dark place. Melbourne customers can also collect from our espresso bar in Kensington.

Transparently sourced

Since 2018 we’ve published what we pay for our green coffee through our Transparency Project, so you can see exactly where your money goes. We work with importers and producers who share our values, and in 2023 we became a certified B Corp. It means you can feel as good about where your coffee comes from as you do about how it tastes. Espresso, filter or single origin?

Choose by how you brew. Our espresso roasts are made for espresso machines and stovetops, and taste great with milk. Our filter roasts are roasted lighter for pour over, AeroPress, plunger and batch brew. Single origins let you taste a specific farm or region. Still not sure? Buy whole coffee beans and grind them fresh at home, or choose an espresso, stovetop, filter or plunger grind when you add a coffee to your cart. Our coffees come in 250g, 500g and 1kg bags, and shipping is free within Australia on orders over $80. Are your coffee beans freshly roasted?

Yes. We roast all our coffee to order in Melbourne and pack it straight after roasting, so it arrives fresh and full of flavour.

What makes your coffee beans different?

Our coffee is transparently sourced, roasted in small batches in Melbourne, and we publish what we pay for our green coffee. We’re also a certified B Corp.

Can I buy ground coffee beans?

Yes. Choose whole beans, or pick an espresso, stovetop, filter or plunger grind when you add a coffee to your cart. Our espresso roasts suit espresso and stovetop.

How long do coffee beans stay fresh?

Coffee beans are best within four to six weeks of roasting. Store them in a cool, dry place away from light and moisture.

How much do your coffee beans cost?

Prices depend on the coffee and bag size. We offer 250g, 500g and 1kg bags, with free shipping in Australia on orders over $80.
