Rwanda Ruli
Our latest coffee for filter, Rwanda Ruli is intense and fruity, with notes of sweet stone fruit and red apple acidity.
Ruli washing station, located near the small town of Mususa in Rwanda’s rugged Northern Province, processes coffee grown by 320 smallholder farmers. Each farmer typically owns less than a quarter of a hectare, growing around 250–300 coffee trees alongside subsistence crops like maize and beans. The washing station uses a natural anaerobic process (sealed fermentation) to bring out the coffee’s beautifully distinct and complex flavours.
Dukunde Kawa’s commitment to its members has helped transform coffee farming in the region, improving both production quality and livelihoods. By focusing on sustainable farming practices, the cooperative continues to empower farmers while producing exceptional coffees - just like this 100% Red Bourbon lot.

PRICING EXPLAINED
*This is the FOB (Free On Board) price: the price paid to the exporter before shipping, and which does not include shipping costs, weight loss (around 17%), storage and other charges. Ultimately, the FOB price represents the $ figure that stays in the coffee's country of origin, benefiting its producer, community, and beyond.
^This is the 'raw' price paid directly to the producer, and paid in the local currency for parchment coffee. The coffee is then milled and sorted before being placed in bags, ready for shipping.
