Ethiopia Moli
We are delighted to introduce our newest single origin coffee, Ethiopia Moli, for espresso! Sourced from the Desalegn Bergecho washing station, this specialty coffee showcases just how delicious Ethiopian specialty coffee can be. Select, hand-picked cherries were chosen for this anaerobically processed lot before being dried slowly on raised beds.
ETHIOPIAN COFFEE
Ethiopia, the “birthplace” of coffee, has had a tough history and continues to forge success through several significant issues. Political, social and tribal changes bring with them uncertain times. And the last few years? As tough - if not more so - than any before.
We’re always excited to get Ethiopian samples at Rumble, and the opening-up of trade rules has meant that we’re now receiving more than ever before. This does, however, bring with it some challenges regarding ongoing traceability. A tight quality-control process is maintained in order to make sure we have the best-possible representation to offer to you, our beloved punters.
We hope that, over the next few years, things become more organised for our Ethiopian farmers - and that life in general becomes easier for those who live in this beautiful country. We’re certainly committed to helping things move in this direction.
DESALEGN BERGECHO WASHING STATION
Desalegn Bergecho, the washing station at which this lot was processed, provides the local landholders with seedlings grown at its on-site nursery. This offering helps to assist farmers with the planting of new trees, as well as with the removal of older trees that don’t produce as well.
SUPPORTING SUSTAINABLE COFFEE PRACTISES
We believe in supporting coffee producers who implement sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. The Ethiopia Moli coffee is a beautiful example of our commitment to sourcing coffee that aligns with our values. By choosing this single origin, you're not only enjoying a delicious cup of coffee, but also supporting the communities involved in producing it.

PRICING EXPLAINED
*This is the FOB (Free On Board) price: the price paid to the exporter before shipping, and which does not include shipping costs, weight loss (around 17%), storage and other charges. Ultimately, the FOB price represents the $ figure that stays in the coffee's country of origin, benefiting its producer, community, and beyond.
^This is the 'raw' price paid directly to the producer, and paid in the local currency for parchment coffee. The coffee is then milled and sorted before being placed in bags, ready for shipping.
