ABOUT 

Producer, Einar Ortiz Falla’s childhood years were drenched in the traditions of coffee cultivation. Always keen to innovate, his community-mindedness and passion for what he does creates a coffee that impresses far beyond its incredible taste.

One day in 2005, Einar attended a coffee workshop with 26 other coffee growers from the same Tolima region. When the workshop ended, the participants felt drawn together to speak about their challenges and expectations as producers in the industry. Finding lots of common ground and a collective wish to improve their operations, the rest - as they say - was history.

This exact group of 26 producers, Einar included, began a co-op whose goal was to strengthen the production and commercialisation of coffee in the region. Since then, Einar’s main motivation has been to produce specialty coffee that consumers all over the world can enjoy.

This has marked a huge change in Einar’s economic situation and quality of life. The quality of the farm’s produce has improved by more than 100% which is now reflected in the price that Einar receives for the product.

In 2021, his hard work gained Einar 18th place in the Colombian Cup of Excellence awards. Every day, Einar prides himself on learning something new that he can apply to his coffee-growing; tools that help him strive to become the very best producer he can be.
