Hailing from the Sitio Canaã farm (which translates to “The Promised Land” in Portuguese), this micro-lot was grown by a legend-in-the-making, Kleumon Silva Moreira: 35 years young and mentored by one of the true coffee greats, Antônio Rigno.

Sitio Canaã lies just outside the small town of Piatã in Bahia’s Chapada Diamantina region, a region ranging from 1280 to 1340 MASL. Chapada Diamantina translates to ”Diamond Plateau” in Portuguese - and it’s for good reason too. For 100 years, this area was mined for the gemstones embedded in its cliffs. Today, Chapada Diamantina is famous for its specialty coffee.

Rumble is truly proud to have purchased some of Kleumon’s first harvest. It was so special that we've been buying his coffee ever since. Given the quality of his coffee, it may be surprising to some that Kleumon is still young – just 35 years old – but has been working in coffee for well over a decade alongside his mentor, Antônio Rigno (of São Judas Tadeau).  

Globally, Antônio is widely regarded as the best coffee producer in the region and is famous for his commitment to quality, having achieved many accolades (over many years) for his coffees in the Cup of Excellence competition, and others. Kleumon has worked by Antônio’s side for many years learning the ropes - from how to plant and care for the trees, to developing a working understanding of the most advanced and exciting of processing methods.

Lovely Coffee but To Fruity for me. Not full bodied enough for my taste.
Maybe In Summer as an Iced Latte perhaps ???
