Colombia Los Guacharos
Zesty lime, sweet tea and juicy orange. Colombia Los Guacharos is a fresh and energising delight.
On our mission to source exceptional coffee, we partnered with Importer/Exporter Shared Source and their Los Guacharos group project, a collective of independent, ecologically-focused smallholder producers in Southern Huila, Colombia. Together, we bring you this unique pink bourbon blend, exported in February 2024.
ABOUT THE LOS GUACHAROS GROUP
The Los Guacharos group is a powerful example of grassroots innovation in coffee production. Comprised of five dedicated farmers—Alirio Muñoz, Aldemar Quistial, Luis Octavio Titimbo, Viviana Realpe, and German Ortiz—they are united by their commitment to organic, regenerative agriculture. Each producer brings a unique approach to cultivating and processing their pink bourbon crops, ensuring the highest quality in every bean.
This coffee is a testament to their dedication to sustainable practices, from homemade fertilisers to advanced water filtration systems that protect local ecosystems. The collective's move toward biodynamic methods, like their Super Magro brew—a fermented mix of organic minerals and waste—empowers them to maintain soil health and reduce reliance on chemicals.
We’re proud to work with Los Guacharos, supporting their direct sales model and dedication to improving their craft. By purchasing directly from this inspiring group, we’re not only securing exceptional coffee but also contributing to the livelihoods of small-scale farmers committed to environmental stewardship.
In presenting Los Guacharos to you, we’re thrilled to acknowledge the amazing work and contributions of our import/export partner, Shared Source.

PRICING EXPLAINED
*This is the FOB (Free On Board) price: the price paid to the exporter before shipping, and which does not include shipping costs, weight loss (around 17%), storage and other charges. Ultimately, the FOB price represents the $ figure that stays in the coffee's country of origin, benefiting its producer, community, and beyond.
^This is the 'raw' price paid directly to the producer, and paid in the local currency for parchment coffee. The coffee is then milled and sorted before being placed in bags, ready for shipping.
